Professional Experience
Walter is an associate in the Dispute Resolution Department. He has experience in Commercial Disputes, Debt Recovery, Employment and Labor Relations, Environment and Land, Shareholder Disputes, Public Procurement, Wildlife Conservation and Management and White-collar crimes.
Walter advises corporate entities, government agencies and private clients. His sectors of focus are hospitality, infrastructure, manufacturing, real estate development.
Highlights
- Advising on claims relating to wildlife conservation and management and on
procedures before the National Environment Tribunal. - Representing corporates (construction, financial services and retail) and individuals
in high value debt collection, insolvency claims and litigation. - Advising parties on land legislation and implementation, representing parties
before the Environment and Land Court in matters pertaining to ownership and
use of land and advising on compensation claims. - Experience in advising and litigating over building and construction claims
between developers and purchasers, employer and contractors, in arbitration and
the Commercial Division of the High Court. - Advising state and non-state entities in Public Procurement claims before the
Public Procurement Administrative Review Board. - Advising corporates on employment and labor relations specifically review of
policies and procedures and during the COVID-19 pandemic focus on management
of employee relations.

Walter holds a Bachelor of Law (Honors) degree from Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is also a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East African Law Society.
