Our Advocates

Valerie Kasaiyian

Ms. Kasaiyian is an associate in the litigation department of the firm and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

Valerie read law at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa where she graduated with a Bachelors of Law in 2011. She interned with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2011 prior to joining the Advocates Training Programme at the Kenya School of Law in 2012 and was admitted to the Bar in 2014. She underwent pupilage at the State Law Office where she worked under the right Honorable Attorney General Professor Githu Muigai as a research assistant when He appeared in the Supreme Court of Kenya as Amicus Curiae in the Presidential Petition of 2013 and as an Interested Party in the Matter of the Division of Revenue Bill 2013.

Valerie held over awaiting admission at the Department of East African Affairs, Commerce and Tourism in 2013 and has done extensive work with regard to the East African Community Common Market Protocol, developing Jurisprudence for the East African Court of Justice and has attended the Sectoral Council on the East African Monetary Union and the East African Community Security Council.

Valerie’s primary area of practice is civil litigation with a slight interest in Commercial law. Valerie enjoys civil litigation work immensely though her favorite area of law is ultimately Constitutional law; she has an interest in pursuing public policy and administration and international diplomacy.
