When smartphones were gaining popularity, there were adverts that promised us that we would have everything in the palm of our hands. Aside from capitalism, the concept of supermarkets and malls is also borne of necessity for convenience and making life easier. Fast forward to the current trend, we can do most of our activities online through shopping applications, delivery services, virtual court attendance, meetings, online learning and of course, access government services. The era of travelling from Mbeere and other remote locations to get services in major towns is being erased one digital step at a time.
