CANCER INITIATIVE
Working in partnership with the Nairobi Hospice, Faraja Cancer Support Trust & the Second Chances Foundation, we have provided pro bono legal advice and resource mobilization on cancer related issues to cancer survivors and others coping with cancer.
Our current projects include financial contributions, payment of annual NHIF fees, conducting legal clinics & training our advocates on needs of cancer patients and survivors as well as attending cancer support groups.
It has been a remarkable 4 years into this noteworthy initiative, and we are proud to add life into their days, and not just days into their lives!
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
GVA Scholarship program, founded by Stephen Gikera, was borne out of his desire to help motivated, bright young people further their education, having met many deserving students without financial support.
So far, 20 students have been beneficiaries. Stephen believes, “Education is the most powerful tool ever conceived in the fight against inequality and injustice and is the surest path to hope and prosperity for the greatest number of people.”
With additional financial support from GVA long-time friends and law clients, GVA Scholarship program has expanded with an increase in the number of supported scholars.
