Colonialism Lives on in Toxic Wasteand Mitumba

On 1st June 2023, Kenya commemorated 60 years of self-rule after gaining its independence from Britain in 1963. 1st June 1963 officially marked the end of colonialism in Kenya. However, 60 years down the road, colonialism still lingers in some forms and manifestations, and it seems that the power dynamics have only really changed, in principle. In this article we shall analyze the issue of waste colonialism in Kenya.
