Legal Update on Guidelines Under Section 12(1) of the Bribery Act 2016

The Bribery Act, 2016, requires public and private entities to establish procedures for the prevention of bribery and
corruption. It is in light of the foregoing and Section 12(1) of the Bribery Act that the Attorney General in consultation with
the Ethic and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on 7th October 2021 issued guidelines aiming to assist private and
public entities in the preparation of procedures for prevention of bribery and corruption.
